  1. Turn off the lights and fans when not in use.

Be honest and tell me how many times have you left your mobile charger turned on without the phone charging?
Probably a number of times and this is what leads to wastage of energy.

Most of our energy needs are fulfilled through non renewable resources like coal, oil, natural gas and these resources are not reproducible. This may lead to the shortage of resources and eventually a complete shut down of energy production.

But what could be the solution then?
The solution can be using renewable resources.

Renewable resources like solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy etc. 

What you can do to save energy is:

  • Turn of lights and fans when not in use.
  • Try using renewable sources of energy such as solar energy which can be easily set up.
  • Turn off your phone charger plug in when not in use.
  • Conserve Energy by switching to LED Bulbs.
  • Reduce using water heating appliances like geyser.
  • Reduce your power using accordingly, such as avoiding using mobile phones and laptops while plugged to the charger.

I know you know that 70 percent of the Earth's surface is covered by water but do you know the fact that only 1% of it is drinkable in nature.

By taking this fact under consideration we can now estimate the need for saving water which is 100%

What you can do to save water:

  • Don't keep the tap running while brushing or bathing.
  • Avoid taking showers that leads to unnecessary wastage of water.
  • Save rain water through water harvesting techniques.
  • Avoid contaminating local water bodies.
  • Reuse water 
  • Use intensive water purifying systems to purify hard water.
  • Consider using washing machines that require limited amount of water for cleaning.

       3. Avoid using plastic


Plastic Ban is the need of the hour.

Despite government regulations in many countries plastic is still in use and in demand in various countries.

Plastic is non degradable in nature and thus can live up to many years on the earth's surface causing a major issue of its disposable.

Hence, usage of plastic should be avoided.

What you can do to avoid plastic is:

  • Use bags made out of cloth
  • Use paper bags

  • Use bottles made out of metals
  • Glass bottles can also be used
  • Avoid disposing plastic in open public places
  • Do not throw plastic in water bodies
  • Keep plastic out of the reach of children
  • Burning plastic can lead to the release of dioxins and thus recycling the plastic waste could prove to be a better alternative for disposal.


      4. Save Trees

Planting a tree can make a big difference for the environment. On a daily basis thousands of trees are being cut down all around the world.
The pleasure and happiness of watching your seedling grow into a plant and then into a beautiful lush green tree is one of the best feelings in your life.

Ever had the dream of having your own garden?
Well if you did then now is the great time to start building one, well, but not all of us have a big space or a lawn to plant trees.

So, what can be done?

Well, use up your tiny balcony space fill it with the plants you'd love to see grow with you.

What you can do to save trees is:

  • Set up your own little nursery in your balcony.
  • Have a great lawn space? why not use to plant the best medicinal plants?
  • Plant flowering pots in your balcony space.
  • Help save trees by running campaigns and awareness program.

  • See to it that your pet is vaccinated

  • Impose strict laws in your society to protect domestic animals
