Things to do during lockdown

Things to do during lockdown

Bored?

Here's is a list of twelve things you can do during lockdown at the comfort of your home.

Here you go!

1. Tidy up your long uncleaned drawers and cupboards

This might seem boring but trust me, tidying up may just turn into an interesting task as you might end up finding some interesting old stuff.

How about finding your pictures from when you were a cute baby to finding some of your parent's 90's camera collection!

Also, it'll help you create a lot of space as you can now take your time to analyze what is needed and what is to be discarded.

2. Take out your old paints and start painting

When was the last time you painted?

Must be long ago, right?

Why not take this time as an opportunity to brush up your painting skills. You're probably still 'that' artist, I know!

Get your old paint box and brushes out now and start a painting spree or something.

Maybe you can start a little 10 day painting challenge where you promise to paint something of your liking everyday for ten days straight!

3. Start your fitness journey

I know, we're all turning into potatoes during this lockdown, but what can we do right?

Well, there's one thing to do, one thing you probably hate and that's 'EXERCISE'

Yes! start an exercise routine it'll help you feel a little better and will also stop you from turning into a fluffy little cat that you might adore but would not want to be.

Maybe you can try following a healthy diet that'll keep you from turning into a fluff ball. Try greens or meat based low Cal diet.

Watch some exercise videos on YouTube or join a free yoga session.

It'll not only keep you fit but healthy which is of utmost importance at the moment.

4. Discover new songs and create playlists

Are you a fan of discovering new music? Do you like listening to underrated artists?

Well, then this is the best time for you to start discovering new artists and some new songs that'll expunge out your boredom.

You can use many music listening platforms like Spotify, shazam and many more to discover new songs and also create your own playlists that can be shared to others.

Once you create your playlists, all you got to do is plug in them headphones and bop your head to your favorite tunes.

5. Why don't you just watch some 'Series and Chill' ?

I bet you've heard your friends talk about their favorite series like tons of times, then what are you waiting for?

Let me get you right away to watching new series that'll keep you hooked.

You've probably heard of Money Heist or maybe Stranger Things, yes, these are some of the best series as claimed by the viewers and also there are many others too that you may find matching your taste.

6. Discover your aesthetics

Well, have you ever taken time to figure out what you truly like or what your aesthetics are?

Why not figure it out now that you have plenty of time!

You can simply go to Pinterest or even Instagram to gain some inspiration. You should probably create a board on Pinterest that match your aesthetics and fill your mind up with ideas that'll help you reflect your personality once we get out of the lockdown.

7. Try shopping or window shopping online

It must have been months since you last went shopping physically and that you are probably missing it a lot but here's what you can do.

Why not try shopping online? Just get on your computer and check out the best websites for shopping and get to shopping right away!

Maybe if your pocket's running low then you can simply add them favorite items to your Wishlist if not the bag and checkout later when you get the guap!

8. Listen to your favorite audio books

Can't sleep at night? Well, just listen to some audio books that'll help you get a good night's sleep.

Audio books are really fun, you can listen to your fav stories without having to strain your eyes or draining your phone's battery.

Simply download the one's you like, plug in your headphones and zone out into the audio stories!

9. Try cooking some of your fav recipes

Take out those recipes you've saved long back on your device, promising you'll try them during the next summer or the winter break.

Get straight to cooking your favorite recipes. Get someone to help you out with the cooking and learn how to cook!

Maybe you can try learning Spanish or maybe Japanese, well, you can try learning any language you want!

There are many cool apps out there, one of my favorite being Duolingo which you can try out to start from the basics of a language that you want to learn.

11. Develop a skill or enroll for a free course

This is the best time for you to sharpen up your skills by taking up some free courses available on the internet.

There are many online sources providing free courses in which you can enroll to earn an edge over your fellow competitors to land a better placement in a company.

You can try courses from websites like Coursera, Google Digital Unlocked, Udemy and many others!

12. Try looking for some work from home internships

Why not gain some industry experience while at home?

Try searching for some internships that best suit your field and try applying to them.

These internships will reflect your career oriented outlook towards life and will help you add onto your resume a little weightage.
